automatic suspend

es flag

I've upgraded a thinkpad W520 to 20.04.2 LTS and for some reason although automatic suspend is switched off under "Suspend & Power Button" yet after several minutes it gets suspended.

This behavior was not there on previous version, this is dconf dump grep output if it can help:

conf dump / | grep -i "suspend\|sleep"
ubuntu-lock-on-suspend=true
sleep-inactive-ac-timeout=3600
sleep-inactive-ac-type='nothing'
sleep-inactive-battery-timeout=1800
sleep-inactive-battery-type='nothing'

Within 10 minutes of an undesired "suspend" (and "resume") `sudo journalctl --since="-10 minutes"` will give you data. If you must reboot, `sudo journalctl -b -1 -e` will show the end of the logs.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
