it flag

So i have two storage devices 1 is kingston ssd 256 gb and another one is 1tb wd blue. I am using ssd fully for my windows 10 and used 100 gb from my hdd to install ubuntu. Months passed and suddenly while customising ubuntu i did something i didnt like. So i decided to install ubuntu again. I flashed my pendrive and start installing there i got an option erase ubuntu 20.04 i opted that and suddenly while installing i got grub cannot be install fatal error. I kinda panicked and deleted the ubuntu partition from windows 10. And now when i try to install ubuntu

  1. It doesn't show install alongside windows 10 opption
  2. Even in something else it shows unknown in place of windows 10
  3. I get grub cannot be installed fatal error everytime i proceed.

I checked there is no dynamic disc I checked no secure boot is enabled I checked there is legacy+bios option I checked its cms insted of bios I even alocated 500 mb and created efi partition when asked

I am a noob but I love ubuntu just like yall and i cannot settle for a virtual machine please help and thanks.

I find it best to remove Windows disk when installing Ubuntu to a different disk. Ubuntu should be installed in same BIOS/UEFI mode as Windows, then GRUB will boot both. Rufus has a GPT partition scheme if you want to ensure Ubuntu is installed UEFI.

Seriously though, make sure you have a windows installation media prepared before you install Ubuntu, just in case. That way, if you accidentally delete windows, you will have a way to reinstall.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
