How to Remove GRUB2 Box

cn flag

I am trying to create a GRUB custom menu for a computer lab, and I have two issues I am not able to solve:

  • I was able to set our lab's logo as background image, but the box around the menu cuts the logo. I can't find a way to hide orof the remove the box...
  • I want the menu to include my own menu entries, but I can't figure out what to put in the 40_custom file - I tried to put the UUID of the boot partition but when I try to boot, it ignores the entry and doesn't boot.

I'd like to use the /etc/grub.d/* files, without using external apps, like Grub Customizer. Is there a way I can dump the current menu entries generated by GRUB's linux script to the 40_custom file and just change the names?

If I remove the xecuutable bit from the linux and xen scripts, I get a non-bootable system.,..

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
