Ubuntu 20.04 with multiple monitors having NVIDIA Graphics Card gives blank on screen on boot

us flag

I have a Lenovo Workstation where I have a NVIDIA Graphics card along with Ubuntu 20.04.

Recently on boot it started giving a blank screen and getting hung when connected with multiple monitors. However it works well if no additional monitors are connected.

Would somebody please help me get it fixed?

PS: I am not a pro user of Linux but just a regular user though I understand things.

Ubuntu LTS releases offer two kernel stack choices; GA is the *stable* option, HWE allows newer kernel modules (ie. *drivers*) for newer devices. Somewhat recently the HWE stack upgraded from the 5.8 kernel to 5.11 which has been problematic for some users (*statistically a tiny %, but that's still a lot of users*); maybe that's you? Switching to the GA stack can be a solution; OR installing the GA stack and selecting it at boot (you don't need to have only one stack installed; you can have both installed).. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/LTSEnablementStack

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
