Ubuntu 20.04 brightness becomes ultra dark and not changing after suspend

br flag

I have a brand new Dell laptop with Intel Xeon processor. The brightness keys don't do anything but I manage to change the brightness using:

$xrandr --output eDP-1-1 --brightness 0.7

First of, how can I make the brightness keys to work?

Secondly, after I come out of the suspend mode, the display is ultra dark and I cannot change the brightness level. I can see that Ubuntu is back, but it is so dim, I cannot navigate through it. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks,

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
