Ubuntu 20.04 headset mic not working correctly

vn flag

I'm using Dell Optiplex 3040 PC, Codec: Realtek ALC3234. When I plug my headset and select Headset mode, Ubuntu only allows me to listen. It cannot detect my voice. If I switch my Settings -> Sound -> Input to Microphone-Built-in Audio, then it allows me to speak, but I cannot hear anything.

I tried some approaches but none of them works:

  1. Install and use pavucontrol (doesn't work).
  2. rm -rf ~/.config/pulse/ and then log out, and then log back in, etc. (doesn't work).
  3. Change /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf, try options snd-hda-intel model=,dell-headset-multi or some other models (doesn't work).
  4. Change the file /etc/default/grub and using this line: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash snd_hda_intel.dmic_detect=0" (doesn't work).

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
