Export to pdf results in documents with overlapping text

mx flag

I have a problem when I try to turn my text or powerpoint files into pdfs. I use LibreOffice and google slides to make documents and when I'm done and I try to turn them into pdfs the text overlaps itself and I can't read what I wrote.

text appears vertically squashed so that lines are superimposed. The result is completely unreadable

I don't know if the problem is with document viewer or Ubuntu itself. To turn a file into a pdf I use the Export to pdf option in the File menu in LibreOffice and the same for google slides. (I don't use a command). This doesn't happen every time but it does happen repeatedly.

My Ubuntu version is 20.04.3 LTS.

Thanks if anyone can help me :)

I would like to know what version of LibreOffice you're using. LibreOffice 7.2 is working well. Also do some document viewers show this kind of output while others do not. There are many options to choose under the Export As... PDF. You might also see whether EPUB format works for you.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
