Can't connect Ubuntu to the WiFi network

ae flag

I've had this issue for the past 3 days.

There is no GUI option to connect to a WiFi network. I tried using the terminal, but I faced a lot of errors, probably because I am not connected to the internet. What should I do?

By the way, I don't have any tools to connect to the internet. All I have is my phone using a hotspot.

If you have a phone with data plan and a USB cable then you already have everything you need for a (temporary) internet connection that can be used to troubleshoot. It's called USB tethering. Now, in order to help you we need to know about the WiFi hardware. Please run `lspci`. One of the resulting lines will identify the network device. Edit the question to add it.

Look at the logs! `sudo journalctl -b 0 -u NetworkManager`. Read `man journalctl`.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
