Ubuntu Studio / Chrome Browser

ca flag

Have an old HP Elitebook and decided to put the new Ubuntu Studio (Plasma 5) on it. Its a thing of beauty but I cant get Chrome browser to install because 'dependencies'. So I tried our own chromium.

My problem is: I need my chrome passwords. Chromium wont sync, nor will Firefox and Chrome itself cant be installed.

I'm happy enough with other distro's but Im happiest with this and would - if I could import my passwords and bookmarks - put it on all my machines at home.

Cheers in advance for any and all help.

Ant.

All you needed to do was to search and the info was there. https://www.google.com/search?q=exporting+chrome+passwords&oq=exporting+chrome+password&aqs=chrome.0.0i512j69i57j0i22i30l3j0i390l2.7223j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Why are you unable to install dependencies? Have you tried this `sudo apt-get install -f`

sbharti. Thank you. I tried your suggestion but it says theres nothing to update. To answer your question, the chrome installer just says something about not having the depndencies but neither lists them or offers to install them. Lastly the sync facility in chromium no longer exists. Otherwise, I appreciate your being helpful. Thank you once again.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
