Ubuntu on MacBook Pro

gb flag

I have to download Ubuntu for my Mac as part of my course. I am unable to do so. It downloads as a 'ISO disk image' and does not allow me to install it.

Is anyone please able to help with regard to downloading Ubuntu please?

I have a Mac Pro 2020 version.

Thank you

You might want to ask your course instructor for assistance.

This works for Windows/other computers, but sadly not Macs (that I can tell)

You have to first download the iso (which you probably did), and follow the instructions in the link posted above. If something does not work, ask a specific question about that.

You likely won't be able to install it even if you tried. The SSD isn't visible due to the T2 chip. You'll need a custom kernel

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
