Headphones producing static noise after the recent update

cn flag

I have OnePlus Buds Z headphones that I use with both my phone and laptop(Ubuntu 20.04 latest). I have been using my headphones with my laptop flawlessly for many months now. Recently, like a week ago, as usual, I updated Ubuntu, but after that I noticed really awful noise coming from my headphones whenever I play anything on my laptop, it is not there when I have it muted or when nothing is playing. I can confirm that this is Ubuntu's fault because

  1. The headphones are still working flawlessly in my OnePlus phone like they are brand new.
  2. This issue was not there in my laptop a week ago before the update.
  3. I have 2 laptops with the same OS, both of them are facing the same issue so it isn't my laptop's hardware fault either.

Laptop's speakers are working just fine as usual, it's just the headphones that are causing the trouble.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
