unable to mount any drives in ubuntu 20.04.3

za flag

earlier today, when I've wanted to mount any usb or one of my other internal harddisk's in thunar, it just does nothing when I try to access it. although with mkdir <usb/hdd name> && sudo mount /dev/<usb or hdd partition name> it works fine, however, i can't unmount it and whenever i try to mount the drive (that is if i've plugged it in again) i must create an alternative directory because i'm unable to delete the folder that specific drive was previously mounted on. any help would be appreciated!

note: the other two drives in my system are both debian 11 installs (ext4 mounted at root + swap + efi boot partition)

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
