Black Flickering Screen After Login

cn flag

I recently upgrade to an SSD in my old laptop and reinstalled Ubuntu 21.10 on it to start fresh. However once it all was installed, after I login the only output i get is a black screen with occasional artifacting at the top of the screen. I am able to access the TTY terminal from the login screen luckily, but I've been stuck trying to find a fix for the problem for the past two days. So any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Here is a video of the flickering issue.

Troubleshooting steps that have been tried:

  • Reinstalling the OS
  • Formatting the drive and then reinstalling the os
  • Trying a different distro (PopOS). Still have the same problem

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
