Dell Precision 3450 upgrade & initramfs.conf

cn flag

I bought a Dell Precision 3450 workstation with Ubuntu 20.04 and upgraded to 21.04 and then to 21.10. During both upgrades I got the following question that I answered with N.

Configuration file '/etc/initramfs-tools/initramfs.conf'
==> Modified (by you or by a script) since installation.
==> Package distributor has shipped an updated version.
What would you like to do about it ? Your options are:
    Y or I : install the package maintainer's version
    N or O : keep your currently-installed version
D : show the differences between the versions
Z : start a shell to examine the situation
The default action is to keep your current version.
*** initramfs.conf (Y/I/N/O/D/Z) [default=N] ?

Is that OK or should I try to merge the custom modifications that were probably made by Dell into the new version of the config file at some point?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
