How to fix Grub Install Fatal Error in kubuntu 21.10(dual boot win10)?

cn flag

this is how I'm installing it. disk is MBR (cannot convert to GPT)

Booting from USB

I'm using manual installation:

40GB Primary ext4 mount point/

8192 logical for swap

512 EFI system partition

when installtion gets to 66percent it says updating grub, then I get a fatal error, and the installation stops, and reboots. So, I tried booting from USB again, then I chose try kubuntu instead of install , opened the terminal then tried this "sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repair" it downloads some files then it says repository does not have a release file, updating from such repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default

Anyone can help me fix this this is the third Linux I'm installing after successfully installing Ubuntu and lubuntu, I decided that kubuntu is the one I want.

Boot-Repair does not seem to have yet created a version for 21.10. You can use its ISO to create a live mode Lubuntu with Boot-Repair. MBR is used for BIOS boot and gpt for UEFI boot. Better to convert. The only time you now need MBR, is if booting Windows in BIOS mode. Microsoft has required Windows to be installed by vendors in UEFI/gpt mode since 2012. Converting to or from GPT - must have good backups. http://www.rodsbooks.com/gdisk/mbr2gpt.html

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
