Running Ubuntu 20.04
Maybe(?) relevant: I have multiple DE's installed, and use Cinnamon. This only seems to happen on Cinnamon, and only on computer boot-up (ie, I can log out and log back in, restarting Cinnamon, and then it doesn't happen)
Every time I start up, there's a window looking like this:
Mystery window in its original tiny startup size
And an accompanying entry in the taskbar:
Title-less icon-less taskbar entry
The window can be rescaled, which reveals:
Pure black window, no title, etc

What is it, where is it coming from, is there any way to find out about it?
