Changing Keyboard Shortcut in Ubuntu 20.04

lk flag

I am trying to change the keyboard shortcut for typing and I would like to set keyboard shortcut Alt+Shift for changing language. I found the keyboard shortcut section in settings and tried to set the above shortcut but didn't work. Actually, when I type the combination nothing happens.

I tried a few more combination and I noticed that Ubuntu whenever you set a combination in "Switch to the next Input source" automatically sets the same combination with Shift added on, to the "Switch to the Previous input source" and vice versa.

Thus, it seems like Ubuntu doesn't allow Alt+Shift shortcut because it keeps it for the inverse change.

I understand that having different shortcut for next and previous languages might be helpful but only if you have more than two languages.

It seems stupid if you can't do this simple change in Ubuntu settings. Is there anyway to allow such a shortcut combination?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
