When IntelliJ is running sometimes mouse clicking on another program like Chrome, IntelliJ intercepts the clicks

bg flag

I'm running Gnome 40, but this has happened in earlier versions of Gnome as well. The title says it all really. I'll be switching from IntelliJ to Chrome (or any other app) and IntelliJ will "intercept" the click and become the current program instead of what I clicked on. I think this even happens sometimes with IntelliJ itself, like it just intercepts all clicks and does nothing until "something" resets the state and it starts working again. It's very annoying.

Any idea how to fix this?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
