Manual fsck not resolved by previous answers

ru flag

I cannot boot up my computer. Here is the error message

"/dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-root: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck MANUALLY.
   (i.e. without -a or -p options)
fsck exited with status code 4
done.
Failure: file system check of the root filesystem failed
The root filesystem on dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-root requires a manual fsck"

I've tried all the fixes I found in this forum, but nothing works.

Please help.

`I've tried all the fixes I found in this forum, but nothing works.` What exactly did you try? Also, please [edit](https://askubuntu.com/posts/1375455/edit) the question to add more information about which version of Ubuntu you are running. Also, if you remember if you made some changes which might have caused this issue, please add that information too. We cannot help you without these information.

Thanks I used some of the commands in the LVM disk thread and succeeded in fixing it. The directory was inactive. Once I activated it I was able to fix the problem.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
