Issue with graphic libgegl library

al flag

I use Ubuntu Studio 20.04.03 LTS.

I found an issue when I changed from the Snap version of GIMP (2.10.28) to the "official" PPA version of GIMP (2.10.18).

The issue is about the graphic library called: "libgegl"

The "Focal" version of that library is the numbered as: "0.4.22-3"

That is the only one library version which let us to use the GIMP 2.10.18 PPA version.

The issue is about the "standard" upgrading process which indicates us that library can be upgradable by the "1.0.4.18+om-0ubu20.04.18~ppa" version.

The issue is, if we upgraded that library, as the process says, we won't be able to use GIMP PPA version, because that library is too old (that is what the PPA program version says).

I guess, the problem is about the number of the library. As you can see, 0.4.22 is over 1.0.4.18, if we forgot the first 1 character.

Maybe, that "1" shouldn't be there.

Maybe someone used the wrong keyboard key? ???

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
