pulseview assign issue

pk flag

my box is 20.04.3 LTS (Focal Fossa)

I cannot assign the *.sr extension to pulseview. I did as follows: Installed with 'apt install' from official package. I can start from dash clicking its icon.

But when I try to assign to *.sr extension then pulseview is missing from the suggested list.

Ok, I removed with 'apt remove', moreover I cleaned any roots with 'apt autoremove'. Re-installed with 'apt install' - but it is still not available.

The installing procedure puts here the desktop. The name is a bit strange for me.

/usr/share/applications/org.sigrok.PulseView.desktop

So I renamed to: /usr/share/applications/pulseview.desktop

No change, I can start from dash but not appears when I want to assign to extension.

Any suggestion?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
