Black screen after boot with Ubuntu 20.04

in flag

When I boot my HP Elitebook (AMD) laptop it boots to a black screen with a blinking underscore character.

When I boot my laptop.gif
black screen suddenly fills up with a long list of boot messages that quickly disappears

I think the problem is gdm3. I tried boot with lightdm. It led to show this error message.

Oh no! Something has gone wrong.
A problem has occurred and the system can't recover.

I can enter Recovery mode, TTY.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
