Built-in GPU not recognized anymore when adding a second screen in Ubuntu 20.04

cn flag

Recently, I built a PC for work and it runs fine with Ubuntu 20.04. It has an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G, an APU as the processor, and the onboard graphics works perfectly.

I wanted to connect a second screen, so I plugged in an old Radeon X1600Pro, 256MB GDDR2, which was laying around. When I switched on the computer, the Radeon card was recognized and a display connected to it worked. However, the built-in graphics adapter of the APU was not recognized anymore: Ubuntu only recognizes the Radeon X2600Pro card.

How can I solve this problem?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
