Can't install ubuntu (stuck on creating ext4 file...)

ro flag

I saw some similar questions and the answer was to delete my partitions and create 2 new ones (ext4 and swap), but I read that this is bad for ssd's. So, can someone clarify me to what to do

Edit: After I boot with the usb drive and try to install ubuntu, I get stuck on this:

I followed the tutorial on ubuntu's website and the only difference with me was that after I click on "erase disk" and "install now" this pop up showed up:

I don't wanna do anything different than the standard, I only want it to work

Also, I don't know if this is relevant or not but my specs are: CPU: i5-10400f GPU: GTX 1660 TI RAM: 16Gb Storage: SSD 240Gb (where I try to install); HDD 1Tb

The things that you have read are either very old, or very wrong. Boot from the Live USB, follow the recommendations of the installer, and get on with your goals. There is nothing special that you need to do unless you know exactly what you're doing and why.

I don't understand your issue, and what you provided may not be what is required anyway. An old BIOS/legacy/CSM box can boot with a single partition (swap is optional), however more modern uEFI/Secure-uEFI also require an EFI partition which you don't mention. We don't know your hardware so you may require more than you suggest. I'd suggest just using defaults (which are no swap partition anyway; as swapfiles can be used instead; and are easier to change/remove/resize etc).

Suggestion: Run a live session, open Gparted and make sure the target drive is selected. Now, if there's nothing important there already (it seems to be the case because you chose "erase and install") simply go to the Devices menu > Create partition table, select GPT, apply. Then proceed to the **Ubuntu** installation (this is the correct spelling, by the way.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
