Gimp installation not working

I keep getting this error when installing gimp from Terminal. My OS is Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS Focal Fossa

[sudo] password for user: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done Package gimp is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source

E: Package 'gimp' has no installation candidate

Thanks

You haven't provided OS & release details; so I've made an assumption on your issue; ie. `gimp | 2.10.18-1 | focal/universe | source, amd64, arm64, armhf, ppc64el, riscv64, s390x`

The package database may not be up to date. Run `sudo apt update` and then `sudo apt install gimp`. If it does not work, then `sudo add-apt-repository universe` and run the previous two commands once again.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
