I'm curious what those symbols mean in syslog (^@^@^@^@^...). I was running Ubuntu in the Power saving mode (not utilizing Nvidia GPU). Can it be a problem with the AMD graphic card?

Upd. The same thing happened on the same laptop when using its second, more powerful GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060

Update UEFI before anything else. then make sure you're using known good USB peripherals and cables > It complained about some USB device. A problem with any other component, including the iGPU, is possible but extremely unlikely.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
