Best package for embedding Latex equation in OpenOffice, Libreoffice, etc

at flag

I have been using a Latex extension with Libreoffice to embed equations in my text documents. However, it is quite buggy. It simply "loses" the tex source, retaining only the embedded image, so that the equation can no longer be edited. Also, sometimes it moves the images to the top of the document.

I have experimented with Writer2Latex in OpenOffice and found that it won't save a text document if there is an image present.

So, I am asking "what is the a relatively bug-free option for creating formatted text documents with embedded equations?"

I understand that there are issues with the Wine/MS OFfice combination as well.

This is not LibreOffice, but have you tried LyX? https://www.lyx.org/

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
