Could not resolve proxy

cn flag

I am trying to connect to the internet through Ubuntu while I am on my company VPC using commands like curl, ping, git push, etc. When doing this, I get the below message:

Could not resolve proxy: {proxy_address}

I use the exact same proxy settings for git bash, and everything works. If I disconnect from my VPC everything works with Ubuntu. Is there something specific to Ubuntu that I have to do for the proxy to resolve?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
