Unable to boot into Ubuntu 18.04 after latest update

kr flag

I am currently using a lenovo IdeaPad340-17API and on it I have both windows 10 and Ubuntu 18.04 installed. Since yesterday after I updated Ubuntu, now when I try to boot into Ubuntu I get stuck on a stack trace with every command/line resulting in [ok] except for the line which says

*[FAILED] Failed to start Load/Save Screen Blacklight Brightness of blacklight:acpi_video0

See ‘systemctl status systemd-blacklight@blacklight:acpi_video0.service’ for details*

Windows still works just fine, the only issue is booting into Ubuntu.

I tried booting older kernel versions but it still produces the same results. I equally tried to boot in through recovery mode, and when I do that it results in a black screen with a blinking cursor. I equally tried using boot-repair-disk via bootable usb and I still encounter the same error mentioned above.

Please if you have any solutions I will be very grateful.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
