How to permanently allow ony one microphone to provide input / how to block microphones?

kr flag

I use Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. I have two microphones:

  • One from the camera,
  • The second one within my headphones connected through mini Jack.

I don’t ever want to use the first one from the camera. Unfortunately, even if I set proper input in system settings / ALSA, sometimes it is used by some applications. Is there any possibility to permanently disable it, so that I cannot accidentally start using it during for example Zoom meeting?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
