wifi issues 21.1 on RPI400

ru flag

Just installed Ubuntu 21.10 desktop on a Raspberry Pi 400. I had to remove Firefox and install Chromium due to crashing constantly.

I now notice, when I reboot, I can only connect to a 2.4G wifi connection automatically. It won't show me any of the 5G until I connect to the 2.4G connection first. Once I've connected to the 2.4G connection, then I can click on the 5G connection and it works perfectly and much quicker speeds on a speedtest as well. I've also tried to forget the 2.4G connection to only boot up with 5G. Still doesn't recognise 5G until I connect to 2.4G. Any suggestions on how to fix this so it works automatically connecting to 5G vs 2.4G????

You might try changing various settings for the wifi. I also was having connection problems and by following up the suggestions of @kerry_s on the Raspberry Pi forums at [link](https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?t=325345&hilit=rquint#p1947992) I got my Pi 4 working.

Thanks for the link. I'm going to have to try it. I just have to change micro cards to test it out.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
