Would this not be resolved faster in Terminal with a `sudo chown -R mukund:mukund ~/Downloads/Xilinx*`? This would assign ownership of every file to you

What version of Ubuntu are you using? The error in your first screenshot doesn't seem to be related to the permissions of the files in your Downloads directory, but to a missing system library (perhaps because the version of Xilinx that you are trying to install is for libncurses5 whereas your system uses libncurses6)

@MukundPrasadHS I'm not sure that xilinx ISE 14.7 was ever officially supported on Ubuntu (check the [Release Notes](https://www.xilinx.com/content/dam/xilinx/support/documentation/sw_manuals/xilinx14_7/irn.pdf)), however if you want to proceed it looks like you will need to install the Ubuntu `libncurses5` package

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
