Unable to suspend/shutdown from graphic interface

cn flag

after recent CPU change (from Ryzen 3 to Ryzen 5) I am unable to suspend from the top right -> Power Off/Log Out -> Suspend. The login screen is shown and when I log in - all my applications are closed.

Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS
GNOME 3.36.8
X11
All available software updates are applied.

Sometimes after Suspend, when the login screen is shown - the monitors go off, but the PC is still running and when I move the mouse the monitors are turned on and I can log in.

Strange behavior when trying to Power Off... - the log in screen is shown, I enter my password and then the shutdown is executed.

I suspect the BIOS was reset after the CPU change, which could affect this, but I am not sure how to approach the problem.

Any comment or hints are greatly appreciated!

I managed to find a work-around. Despite it enters the GNOME session (no login prompt) after unsuspend, still it suspends the system: alias gosuspend='sudo "$BASH" -c "echo mem > /sys/power/state"'

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
