No video out and no usb after resuming from suspend

wf flag

I've been having an issue on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS where if I leave my system suspended for more than a couple of days, my monitor may get stuck at no signal when I turn my PC back on. Ctrl+Alt+F(4-6) won't give me a picture back, nor will the first half of the Sysrq REISUB sequence (I've enabled and tested it). Plugging the monitor directly into the motherboard instead of the graphics card also doesn't work.

Worryingly, the issue seems to have progressed to my USB ports! Just now, my keyboard didn't work and the lights on my mouse were off, among other things. I had no control of anything, I had to hit the reset button on my rig.

Is there anything I can do to fix/prevent this in the future?

I have also been having stability problems with programs that use hardware acceleration on my computer. Could that be a contributing factor?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
