It is unclear what you did. What is "the light one" you tried to change to? The easiest way is to re-install.

Whenever you connect TV, it is treated as a second display. Depending on your configuration, your "setup" may have extended display, duplicate display or just show on either of the screen. Getting merely background can also mean that display was extended and TV was treated as 2nd monitor. Did you check display settings after connecting? What do you mean by changing display manager to light one? Do you mean lightDM? If yes, lightDM was default "lock screen" for Unity desktop environment. Was TV screen still blank after you logged in?

[Edit] your question and add the output of `xrandr --query`. Also, add the screenshot of display settings. Your question is unanwerable in current state since we don't know the TV you're using and if the TV was even detected by the system.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
