I am trying to calibrate my touchscreen on my toughbook cf-19 with a fresh install of lubuntu.
I can click the crosses in xinput_calibrator and have put the snippet into the correct file, all to no avail.
When I type sudo xinput_calibrator --list I am told no calibratable devices found.
When then trying to install xserver-xorg-input-evdev i am told that I have held broken packages.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
uname gives: Linux Toughbook 5.4.0-42-generic #46~18.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jul 10 07:09:27 UTC 2020 i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux
sorry guys, I wasn't aware that this is so important.

Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS
Release: 18.04
Codename: bionic
I see that I am actually using Ubuntu... When booting the screen says Lubuntu. The reason for the old release is that my machine is 32bit and I was told all newer releases are only 64bit. Is this true?
right you are! I had assumed that as I had bought the machine with a 32bit OS (WIN7) that it had a 32bit Processor. I will now install a newer OS, and hopefully have fewer problems.
Thanks for the trouble you took.
