brightness of the screen according to area

by flag

I have a serious problem with my eyes. I want to adjust the brightness level of the screen according to the area of the screen. For instance, I would like to only brighten two or three lines when I read a pdf file. Other areas should be very dark and when clicked temporarily brightened. Is there such a utility?

I think there is a "Docked Screen Magnifier" in the accessibility options. You know, the little guy at the top right corner of the login screen. There is also an accessibility tab in the System Settings. Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
