Ubuntu 18.04 - Catkin_make -> /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lX11::X11

in flag

My problem is the following: I am trying to run some ROS packages. I have already did it on a virtual machine so the packages are correct. I want now to do the same on my parition, I installed the libraries I needed but when I run catkin_make I get:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lX11::X11
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
acin_reconstruction/CMakeFiles/reconstruction_node.dir/build.make:245: recipe for target '/home/vanessa/catkin_ws/devel/lib/acin_reconstruction/reconstruction_node' failed
make[2]: *** [/home/vanessa/catkin_ws/devel/lib/acin_reconstruction/reconstruction_node] Error 1

Makefile:140: recipe for target 'all' failed
make: *** [all] Error 2

I didn't find any solution on internet but I read a post in which a guy was using the following commands and so I write here the outputs

ld -lX11 --verbose:

I am not an expert of ubuntu and for this reason I don't know what to do. I have alread tried sudo apt-get install lib11-dev or similar commands witouth results. Do you have any ideas? Thanks for your time.

I've never seen an ld directive like `-lX11::X11` before - I think it's more likely that there is an issue with the configuration of the `acin_reconstruction` project than anything wrong with your xorg/x11 development environment

@steeldriver, I believe the problem is not related to `acin_reconstruction` because I have already run the code on a different computer without any trouble.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
