Invalid disk on ubuntu installation

nl flag

so i decided to download ubuntu (without using CD/DVD or usb), downloaded the iso file and unetbootin followed some tutorials till i reached the part that it asked me to choose a partition to download in (informing that i had 2 windows 10 systems) and i decided to delete the second one and install ubuntu instead of it. after i pressed on the install button an error message showed off which i dont remember a thing from it except that there was an error in the selected partition and it asked me to reboot, there was no reboot button so i pressed on ignore and rebooted my device manually. but the reboot didn't go well and a message appeared which said "no bootable device found" i got shocked and started trying to fix the error myself. after using a bootable CD i discovered that the only partition left is one called boot (X)which was 30mb. after that i started a startup repair and it still going right now. could anyone help me get my files back?

edit: i think i found the problem which is my disk status has been turned to invalid and that what caused to disappear

edit: now when i boot the device it says "Missing operation system"

There's not much hope of recovering anything considering this was a comedy of mistakes piling on top of each other. If you have backups simply reinstall Windows and then Ubuntu properly by booting installation media and previously arranging enough unallocated space for the installation, disabling Secure Boot in Windows, etc.

Was there a reason you did not use either of the 2 accepted methods of install. A live media USB or DVD?

unfortunately i didn't make a backup before installing ubuntu.

i thought it would be easier with that method

Edited the tags. This seems no longer a question about *installing* or *partitioning*. This seems a data-recovery question.

Please use another system for data-recovery. You canNOT read and write data to the same disk when trying to recover files. So put your disk in another system and write to the disk that was in that system already. Do not write to the disk you try to recover the data from. Or use a live medium ( which does the recovery ) and an external harddisk ( to write to).

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
