Batch tagging video files in Thunar

fj flag

I have a couple of hundred downloaded shorts that are all in either mp4 or mkv format that have the following file naming structure -

[Where I Got It][Date] Artist - Name of file.

Is there a Thunar script I could use to edit the metadata of each file to add at the very least the date to the date tag, or use that format to just run a batch script that could put each of those sections into a specific tag? like [Studio][Date] Artist - Info Not To Be Tagged?

If not Thunar is there something out there that could do this?

I use "picard" for batchwork like this. `sudo apt install picard`should do the trick
I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
