Gnome 43 spontaneously switching to dark mode

in flag

Ubuntu version: 22.10

GNOME version: 43.0

Hardware: Macbook Pro Early 2015

I just upgraded from Ubuntu 22.04 to 22.10 and something that has started happening ever since is that the GNOME theme will suddenly switch back to dark mode at seemingly random times. I am unsure what could be causing this and I don't recall doing anything that may have caused this to happen apart from updating. Another thing to note is that the icons will reset back to the default Yaru theme instead of the ones I set (tela-ubuntu-dark).

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
