Graphics card not working after port change

bl flag

I am running Ubuntu 20.04 focal fossa. My card is a (very old) Nvidia GeForce 210. Just recently I noticed I had been using the x4 express port on my board so I thought simply moving it to the x16 instead would work. Now when I turn it on, it boots up, the fan on the card spins, but I receive no output from HDMI or VGA. My onboard graphics however, does output, but for a while, it looks wierd, with a yellow tint on everything displaying. I need to know how to properly switch my graphics card to my x16 port as I have read this may increase performance, but I certainly do not want to reinstall my os. Any suggestions? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, but it didn't seem to work even after a reboot.

This sounds like an IO issue, not a problem with Ubuntu. Check the connections. Maybe the seat is bad. Maybe the port is bad or dusty. Check BIOS settings and reset CMOS if needed. If you don't know how to do these things, check with the documentation or support for your motherboard.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
