Thunderbird stays at 100% on one core and freezes upon opening

I posted this on the Mozilla support forum several days ago and it received no traction.

OS: Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS

Thunderbird Ver: 102.2.2 (64-bit)

This happens when I open Thunderbird from a closed state. I have attempted starting in troubleshooting mode with the same result. I have looked at the system logs and cannot find anything referring to Thunderbird. The program has 3 IMAP mailboxes. On the bottom bar that gives messages it states that it is connecting to the first IMAP server. After about 15 minutes, a notification window appears to tell me the last IMAP email account timed out. But then I can use the program normally. I am not sure what to do in order to troubleshoot this more. I installed 102.4.1 in it's own folder, copied over my profile and the Thunderbird worked as it should have.

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
