Ubuntu 20.04 LTS not showing icons or anything after power failure during software installation

dz flag

I was installing some software and suddenly a power failure occurred. I restarted my system and it is now showing a blank blue screen with two tabs. One of the tabs is my user and the other is trash and when I click on it it is not leading to anywhere.

A power failure on the wrong split-second can cause severe havoc. You will need to reinstall. You will be able to update your backup from within a live session.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
