Under ubuntu 22.04 why do I see multiple media entries for the same device

I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 22.04. So far, I have only noticed one issue. For a USB3 external disk, I see two entries under /media:

[barry] /media/barry 10096 /bin/ls -la /media/barry
total 36
drwxr-x---+ 4 root root 4096 Nov 18 10:16 .
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Aug 8 2021 ..
drwx------ 2 root root 4096 Nov 1 06:42 'My Passport'
drwxrwxrwx 1 barry barry 24576 Nov 18 10:16 'My Passport1'
[barry] /media/barry 10097

I checked the entry which is not readable by me and there was nothing under that directory.

Why are there two entries for my USB3 device?

I would first remove the USB device, then `sudo rm` the entry which is owned by `root`, and retry.
I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
