Problems changing screen resolution

sc flag

I switched to Ubuntu recently (2 weeks ago). I have an external monitor with height max 1080 and width max 1280. But I don't see the option for max resolution in Ubuntu settings. I tried to xrandr --addmode it and vct 1280 1080 but it didn't work. Now it only displays 1024x768 for every monitor I plug in.

How do I solve this?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
