is possibile to chroot jain in SFTP users' home with multiple hdd mounted (multiple time)?

eg flag

Good day,

Recenlty the number of users that use my media server (Plex) incresed so I've decided to take a new machine and "clean" my setup (as for now I've a windows laptop with Plex and an old Ubuntu 18.xx (don't remember now) as sftp server).

During this "remake" of my infrastructure I want to improve my sftp so i'm going to chroot jail my users to their home director with the following setup:

  • %u/vault -> bind to hdd1
  • %u/TVSeries -> bind to hdd2
  • %u/Films -> bind to hdd3
  • %u/Musics -> bind to hdd4

Now, let's talk about my question: it's possibile to mount the same hdd to multiple folder? (every users are going to have vault/TvSeries/Films/Musics) or there are better way to achieve this in the jail?

As for the sftp server I don't have any preference (the only thing is that must be free) as for my actual setup I'm using the internal-sftp of openssh.

" it's possibile to mount the same hdd to multiple folder?" ... *You mean the same partition* ... Yes, ... one way is `mount --bind ...` ... "or there are better way to achieve this in the jail?" ... Better is objective but, there are many other ways for sure ... Like load balancing or even simple RAID if performance/availability is your main concern.

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
