"Ubuntu Software" remove Firefox bug?

in flag

I use Ubuntu 22.10. If I open Ubuntu Software (the icon with a orange suitcase with a white A) I can search for software. If I find something when I search: I either see a green button with the word "Install" if it's uninstalled, or a red bin if it's installed. If I search for Firefox I got a list of results. One of the results are the Firefox browser and it's marked as installed. If I click on "Firefox browser" in the list, I come to a page with the green install-button, not the red bin. I thought this behavior was so strange that I installed GNOME Software: sudo apt install gnome-software. Same result there. If I click "install" the computer does something (maybe reinstall the firefox snap?), and the icon changes to the red bin and I can uninstall Firefox. Is this a bug?

Yes. it's a bug. Check https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software to see if it has already been reported. If you are the first, then please report it: `ubuntu-bug gnome-software`

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
