Empty application group in program overview can't be deleted

st flag

I uninstalled 3 apps that I had placed into a 'group' in the Ubuntu 22.04 menus. The empty group remains but can't be removed in any obvious way.

It needs to go. How can I delete it?

As per the norm, I've solved it, myself.

Reinstall the apps. Drag them out of the group. The group disappears. Uninstall the apps again.

There is obviously a bug in Gnome or Ubuntu that doesn't handle all the apps in a menu grouping being uninstalled. I imagine the devs didn't thinks about that case occurring.

I sit in a Tesla and translated this thread with Ai:

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
