After laptop has been put to sleep dock disappears

ci flag

I have an Acer Nitro 5 laptop that dual-boots Linux and Windows. When I restart my computer and log in to Ubuntu the dock appears on the left of the screen as it should be. However, if I close my laptop (i.e. put it to sleep) and reopen it, the dock disappears. I can make it reappear by going into the dock settings and changing the 'show on' setting to anything else (I only have 1 screen so all the options are the same).

How can I make sure the dock stays on all the time?

Most people don’t grasp that asking a lot of questions unlocks learning and improves interpersonal bonding. In Alison’s studies, for example, though people could accurately recall how many questions had been asked in their conversations, they didn’t intuit the link between questions and liking. Across four studies, in which participants were engaged in conversations themselves or read transcripts of others’ conversations, people tended not to realize that question asking would influence—or had influenced—the level of amity between the conversationalists.
